Hello! A couple people (okay, one person) expressed interest in maybe buying books by me, and I realized that most of you probably don’t know that there are in fact books by me available out there in the world.
So, as a brief Sunday post, I figured I’d point you to a few things I’ve published that you can buy, if buying published things by me is of interest.
Wonder Woman: Bondage and Feminism in the Marston/Peter Comics, 1941-1948 (Rutgers UP, 2014)
This is a study of the original Wonder Woman comics, connecting William Marston’s stories to feminist and queer theory. Cross dressing villains! Bondage! Space kangaroos! Did I mention bondage? (Here’s an interview with me about the book.)
Not Akhmatova: Poems and Adaptations (Ben Yehuda Press, 2024)
My first full length book of poetry is a collection of translations, adaptations, and arguments with poet Anna Akhmatova, thinking about exile and Jewish diaspora. (I talk more about the book here.)
Nazi Dreams: Films About Fascism (self-published, 2017)
I put together a number of self-published collections of essays, mostly on film. This one focuses, like the title says, on films that deal with fascism, either intentionally or otherwise. Some of the movies cover include THE ETERNAL JEW, SHADOW AND FOG, INGLORIOUS BASTERDS, and DIRTY HARRY.
Other collections include one on the Hammer Dracula films, on comics criticism, and on women filmmakers.
There are some others too…but you know, don’t want to overwhelm you! Hope you are inspired to check out one or more!
