There are at least some republicans who are as rabidly ant-vax as RFK Jr. Florida is trying to have it both ways, by saying they are only against mandates, and that vaccinations will still be available. Potato, potahto. They are still creating a potential health crisis.

I was initially skeptical but … I like this idea. Good argument & well framed.

I think that's actually the best strategy for the budget I've seen proposed yet. They might eke out some "smaller" wins on issues like trans rights and health care subsidies but this would be a big win and one that was popular with most Americans and basically all Democrats. And I think they could easily go for the big win and some of the other stuff too.

Wow he really is tough to look at- he could have benefited from an occasional application of sunscreen. Looks aside, he is a monster. I think this is a brilliant idea. Is there a way to get this under serious consideration by our senators?

I don’t know. I don’t have enough oomph as a pundit to put it on anyone’s radar, unfortunately.

Hmmm that sounds doable. I think it is critical that Dems NOT bargain to protect any part of the ACA. I know it will hurt people but when it does, it will wake them up. Living in a police state will hurt people a lot more.

"Bernstein says (and I think he’s right) that Republicans would never agree to the Ending Dictator Rule. It’s basically asking them to repeal the entire Trump agenda. They’ll just nuke the filibuster, and probably quickly."

Rather than be cowards about the Republicans doing something they, in their short-sightedness, want to do anyway? I think the Democrats should fight the Republicans to the KNIFE on all this, and show they actually give a fuck about this country and not just their Phoney-Baloney Jobs!

(Insert Mel Brooks from BLAZING SADDLES saying exactly that)

The Democrats have failed even the most basic ability to get something out of any compromises they've made, that it would scare the SHIT out of the Republican Party when they started fighting back...something Schmuck Schumer has proven remarkably unwilling to do.
