I even find it hard to defend Elizabeth Warren at this point. And I interviewed with her presidential campaign fer christsakes. It's not enough to just vote no, put out a mildly worded press release, and go home. Her and every Senate Dem who conceivably opposed this should've been raising hell in the media about this, trying to push Schumer out. But like you said, he was put there to do the will of the caucus and since no one has come out and demand he be replaced they're complicit. And it's just sad on top of being infuriating.

Has anyone been able to determine why Chuck flip-flopped on the vote?

If he could manage to clearly communicate what his plan is, then maybe everyone wouldn’t be furious about the situation.

To me it seems that something is going on that we’re not privy to.

I don't think he thought that the GOP could pass the bill out fo the house without D support. when they did he floundered and was unable to come up with a coherent adn consistent strategy.

This is the part that enrages me. There is no clear communication about what is going on, no trying to bring people on board with your decision. They announce their declaration of fighting just before they retreat without explanation. They scratch their heads wondering why people are angry without noticing they've created an electorate that would rather stay home than vote? Real conundrum. Better hire consultants who don't understand what's going on either.

When I can’t figure out current events, I look to their history for clues.

Where did Schumer come from? Where is his financial support overtime? Who is he most likely aligned with, regardless of what he says?

That usually leaves me much less in the dark. Thanks for your good question.!

Because Schmuck Schumer is a Quisling and a chickenshit, who let Mitch McConnell stuff the Federal Judiciary w/Right Wing Judge so HE could fucking go on vacation in 2018!!!!

He used to be my Senator, and after his first election? I voted third party so I wouldn't have to vote for HIM again.

Good point.

This raises the question of shifting economic models to something more equitable than our very extreme version of capitalism, which is probably still rooted in the extreme employment relations of slavery.
