Twist Ending

I thought my wife bought
the chai in the fridge
for herself
so I didn’t drink it.
But she had bought it for me
so she didn’t drink it.
“That’s true love,” I told her
as I drank it.
“It’s like the ‘Gift of the Magi,’”
she said.

We both hate that story.
