Many self publishing promoters tend to forget that unless you're publishing from your very own website, places like Substack, YouTube, even Patreon, et al are essentially middlemen and they can and will, should they feel they have a reason, pull the rug out from under you at any time.

Yep, that's true as well. Substack in particular censors adult content.
and patreon certainly does; over the last couple years it's pushed most of its adult creators off the platform.
And yet they seem to fine with Nazis and white supremacists. Weird.
On the plus side, that takes care of the Nazi pornographic fetishists...
