I think I might enjoy this like I enjoy "God Bless America" the movie by Bobcat Goldthwait with Bill Murray's brother. I understand it's a really uncomfortable movie for multiple reasons but it's very cathartic for me.

“Michelle, when she gets the upper hand, spews acidic neoliberal hate, shouting at Teddy that he’ll always be a loser and she’s a winner and that’s why she wins.”

The shouting about losers and winners reminds me of an early Seinfeld episode.

This movie sounds interesting, and one my hubby would enjoy as well. He watches almost exclusively horror movies, which gets boring for me.

I hope you enjoy the quiet of Christmas Day. And eat something delicious.

I don't get the point of extreme sadism in a movie. Here it appears to be part of A.J.'s favorite movie this year.

Since the war on Vietnam (for my generation) sadism has clearly been a major problem to address in individuals, institutions and in the invention/maintenance of 'enemies' for weapons corporations profits.

It seems to be generated as part of projecting shame and a terror of being controlled -- leading to shaming and controlling.

So how is it employed/enjoyed as part of a story plot instead of as a major problem to address?

Mystery.
