Really like this piece.

There is logic, which is just about any argument, and there is sound logic which passes the test of shared observations by self and others as well as scientific testing as far as it can be applied.

The articulation of sound logic is always a pleasure. Brings us back to the hard won bases of science, democracy, and to distancing ourselves yet again from the dictates of Pope and King.

Thanks so much for this piece!

The DNC is willing to alienate their base for the possibility of gaining the votes of less engaged moderates that I'm not sure exist. If they do exist, they don't vote regularly, and might not be persuaded by the polite, by the book, barely existent platform offered. I'm so disgusted by being talked down to by a party that believes they're permanently entitled to my vote but I'm not entitled to any representation most meaningful to me.

I cannot hear the Representative's name without thinking of the OTHER Al Green...

At least the other Al Green's a good singer.

And a better showman...

Hence why electoral politics will never get us out of this scrape... I'm not actually sure what will, but it seems pretty clear the Democratic Party is a dead end.

I am SICK and tired of chickenshit Neolib Dems who are afraid to fight back against the Traitor Right! Some asshole in another Substack keeps telling me "Jasmine Crockett's not able to win the Senate in Texas Derp Derp Derp" while he touts James Talarico, who I only know because people like HIM support Talarico which immediately convinces he he's Yet Another Cowardly Clinton Neolib PoS!

For all I know, James Talarico might be a genuine Progressive and a passionate advocate for non-Billionaire Texans...but given his supporters? I smell the same rot I smell off Schmuck Schumer, Notorious P-Lousy, Rancid Andy Cuomo and Hillary Rodham Clinton who gave us "President Donald Trump"!

I think Jasmine Crockett’s greatest liability is the massive funding she receives from AIPAC.

I doubt it. money always helps, and while more Ds support Palestine than in the past, it seems unlikely it’ll be a key issue in a texas primary.

I could be wrong! It’s certainly a reason I might vote against her if I had better options. but I just am skeptical that it will be the thing that loses a primary for her.
