One Year Anniversary of Paid Subscriptions
People are paying me to write. How did that even happen?
A year ago today I posted about discovering I’m autistic, maybe. It was my first post for paying subscribers, and I think two whole people signed up to read it. Which was pretty cool!
Since then the blog has picked up some 415 paid subscribers, give or take. That’s allowed me to write a post or two a week, sometimes more. Most of the content here is free, but I do still post some things for paying customers. (Like my series of Star Trek rewatch posts, for example.)
I have to admit I’m a little nervous about whether people will renew subscriptions, and about whether there will continue to be new subscribers. So, you know, if you’d like to allay that nervousness, now would be a great time! Subs are $5/month, $50/year. And if you join (or if you missed it the first time) you can read that first post right now, immediately, yay!

Thanks to all of you who have joined me over the last year and paid to support me scribbling. I really appreciate it.
All good except, ummmm... I don’t have any patience for Star Trek? 😳 maybe you could switch it up with a special on Dirk Gently or something similarly fun some day?
You are a wellspring of horror movie recommendations. I used to watch a ton, and I've seen all that stuff from the roughly late 50s through the 70s. Or so I thought. I'm working on watching the ones you write about that I have not seen and so far I likey.
