Well, the premiere of Stravinsky's and Nijinsky's ballet "The Rite of Spring" had half the theater rioting against the other half, throwing rotten vegetables among other things at each other!

I sometimes find myself in agreement with other's who have commented that Noah Berlatsky is the most brilliant writer on substack. Certainly this article gives Noah Belartsky strong leverage to that title.
