Hi all! Another week, another sleepy kitty. (Sleep…mmm.)
So, I wanted to briefly update folks on what’s happening with Substack. The platform did remove some Nazi accounts, which was a victory for Substackers Against Nazis. However, it did so grudgingly and in a way that doesn’t build a lot of confidence. Casey Newton at Platformer explains the ins and out, and why he’s decided to leave. A bunch of other people (including Jonathan Katz, who’s been at the forefront of SAN) are also leaving.
I’m not really in a place where I can leave Substack right now, though my confidence in the platform as of now is…not high. I hope folks will stick with me here; I do rely on your contributions to make this blog a thing.
If you don’t want to follow me on substack, I also post basically everything here on Patreon, so switching a subscription over would work. If you want to tip me you can use this Paypal link. If you want to make a recurring donation through paypal, just let me know and I can figure out how to get you access to paywalled posts here.
Okay! Here’s what I wrote this week.
If you read one thing by me this week, read:
Land the Waste, my obsessive alphabetizing poetry pamphlet! Every word in the Wasteland in alphabetical order! Also a massive 100 line cento of sonnets! Read it at LJMcD Communications…or just download it below!

Patreon works - also Spoutible which now has a payment feature. Spoutible has so many features I’ve wished for elsewhere for years! Audio, curated feed, news feed, excellent word cloud and search...they even summarize long threads for you if you don’t have time to read all of them. Soon, I believe you’ll be able to post (spout) there and have your piece or comment posted across multiple platforms. So many great features! And, hey! No Nazis allowed!
I am at Substack for a few writers I really like 😉 but I would like to see them at Spoutible.
The kitten is beautiful, btw.
KITTY! Kitty looks just like one of the Siamese cats I had growing up. ❤️
