Begging for a Democratic party with some confidence in its own voters and not one run by a consultant class and electeds scared of its own shadow. The Democratic voters of a state elected a more liberal or non-white man candidate for an important seat? Fuckin' a they did and we're gonna trust they made the right choice and help them win. Jfc this really shouldn't be difficult. This is like Poli Sci 201 level shit. Which funny enough is easy for them to understand when it's a centrist candidate they want liberals to turn out for...

I saw "GE" and for a minute there I thought you were implying General Electric was backing him...

My favorite genre of pearl clutching from the Schumer/Jeffries wing of the party is the one where they blame voters for not picking their preferred centrist jackoff because "electability" as if their brand of quisling centrism worked out so well against Bush, dubya bush, and fucking trump.

El-Sayed is smart, funny, attractive, and electable! We know because he won the primary despite being outspent 9-1. Either people are tired of business-as-usual democrats and disgusted by the Senate bending over backwards to lick trumps balls, or we’re truly fucked! Without the gerrymandering that affects House races, he’ll do fine. I don’t know if he’ll win, but it certainly is possible. I think it will partially depend on how much election fuckery trumps people are able to get away with.

I try to remember that the job of a pundit is to get you to listen to them. Saying shit that’s shocking and/or shitty is more likely to do that. We know that even the best polls are often wrong- look at 2016. We all thought we knew what would happen. What’s important is that people actually vote!

polls were not that far off in 2016. 538 gave trump a 1 in 3 chance of winning and was screaming for the week or two before the election that people were underrating his chances and that there was a real possibility he could win. (1 in 3 events happen all the time.)
