I have seen Kavanaugh's parents credited with paying his debts. It is fairly persuasive.
In your view, was his sworn testimony about who paid his credit card balances (allegedly, his friends paying him back for sports tickets), therefore perjury? Or was it mostly parents, but those debts, by friends?
I think his friends paid him back and probably he also got money from his parents over the years. so yeah, very much doubt you could get any sort of perjury conviction. (though IANAL, of course.)
It's still bribery any way you want to frame it.

righteous framing! Well done!
